When visiting Northen Ireland Olympic champion Tessa Sanderson CBE celebrated the 25th Anniversary of her winning her olympic gold medal. During 'An Evening with' event, hosted by BBC Presenter William Crawley,Tessa shared her memories and extraordinary experiences of six olympic games with friends and supporters. As a special surprise for Tessa, former coach and close friend Dame Mary Peters popped in to extend her congratulations.

Tessa's primary reason for coming to Northern Ireland was to encourage young people to have the 'Sportstada' experience. This  mini mobile sports stadium is so versatile it accomodates basketball, cricket, hockey, football and netball. The 'Sportstada' stadium travelled to school children in Downpatrick, Antrim, Dunmurry, Cookstown and Belfast.   The winning teams were all presented by Tessa with certificates and medals.

Our sincere thanks to Norfolkline for assisting in the transportation of the 'Sportstada Stadium'.
