Guitar Signed by Van Morrison up for Auction!

Belfast born singer songwriter Van Morrison has donated a guitar to a fundraising benefit for TinyLife, the premature baby charity and the Neo Natal Unit at the Ulster Hospital.

Comber couple Niall and Janine McMenamin organisers of the event commented  ‘Hollie, our beautiful baby daughter was born prematurely at the end of November. We were absolutely devastated to learn that Hollie was diagnosed with a fatal condition. Sadly she passed away just 4 days later at the Ulster Hospital.  We cannot thank enough the Neonatal Team, Midwifery Team (The Ulster Hospital and Laganvalley Hospital) and Tinylife for the excellent care and support we received and continue to receive at this heartbreaking and difficult time.

Our family and friends have been absolutely wonderful .  Linden  Mack  from Belfast Music Supplies generously donated a beautiful solid wood ‘Tanglewood’  Acoustic Guitar complete with case, we were overwhelmed when Van Morrison agreed to sign it.’

Linden Mack from Belfast Music Supplies says ‘Van Morrison has been a long time friend and customer of Belfast Music Supplies.  This is a really special item, Van’s signature is around 12 – 14” long across the face of the guitar.   We will launch an open auction for the guitar at Hollie’s memoriam event in Scrabo Golf Club this Saturday Evening - 20th April.  The guitar will be on show in the Belfast Music Supplies Shop, Ballyhanwood Business Park, Dundonald.   Anyone wishing to place a bid should contact TinyLife on 02890 815050  Mobile: 07702 384 790 or email Valerie@tinylife.org.uk.  The auction will close on Friday 3rd May 2013 at 4pm.’
