Baby son inspires Pram Walk for TinyLife

Joey says 'Supporting charities in our community is a big part of what we do at Starbucks, and in particular having just become a new dad it made me think about babies, their health and upbringing.  Some of the babies TinyLife supports can arrive as early as 24 weeks and weigh as little as 1lb!  We were lucky our little boy was 6lb 0.4oz and very healthy, but we were so touched by the work of TinyLife that we wanted to help make a difference by raising funds for babies and their parents who have not been so fortunate.  The pram walk seemed like the ideal way to get families together and my colleagues at Starbucks on Lower Lisburn Road, Belfast and from other stores in the area have really got behind the idea. We are inviting anyone who would like to take part to pick up a sponsor form from any Belfast Starbucks store or contact Valerie on 02890 815050.

The Pram Walk invitation is open to anyone who would like to take part in our Sunday Stroll.  We plan to leave Botanic Gardens areound 10.30 am and walk to the City Hall and back, the route is flat and so perfect for pushing a pram. We would like to encourage everyone to bring along a picnic and enjoy the beautiful Botanic Gardens situated in the heart of Belfast. Starbucks will be providing complimentary coffees for all walkers and a balloon modeller will be around to entertain the kids after the walk.'
